TransNusa launches new Melbourne to Bali flight service
Indonesian airline TransNusa has launched a new flight service connecting Melbourne and Bali. The inaugural flight, operated using a 174-seat Airbus A320, arrived in Melbourne as part of a four-times-a-week schedule. This service is set to increase to daily operations starting November 16.
The new route adds more than 70,000 seats annually to the Melbourne–Denpasar corridor, which has seen growth of over 35 per cent since 2019. TransNusa joins five other carriers on this route, which is currently one of Melbourne Airport’s most competitive international markets.
TransNusa Group CEO Datuk Bernard Francis stated the airline aims to provide a reliable, value-driven alternative for travelers. Additionally, the airline's network through Denpasar offers connections to other Indonesian destinations such as Lombok, Komodo Island, Wakatobi, and Manado, as well as international locations like Singapore and Phuket.
