TransNusa to launch Melbourne-Bali flight route in October 2026

Indonesian airline TransNusa has announced the launch of a new flight route connecting Melbourne, Australia, and Denpasar, Bali, scheduled to begin on 19 October 2026. This expansion marks the airline’s second service to an Australian city, following its existing Perth-Bali route.

The service will utilize an Airbus A320 aircraft with a 174-seat configuration. While some reports indicate a daily service, Melbourne Airport lists the initial schedule as four flights per week, with departures from Melbourne on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Return flights from Bali are scheduled for Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

The Melbourne route will also serve as the debut for TransNusa’s ‘Premium Plus’ product. This tier offers 20 seats per flight with priority benefits and increased baggage allowances, positioned between standard economy and traditional business class.

Introductory one-way fares are set to start at AU$299 for basic tickets and AU$699 for Premium Plus. All fares include a 20-kilogram checked baggage allowance, though onboard food and beverages are available for separate purchase.
