Transport A. J. Huijgen expands fleet with seven new Volvo trucks
Transport A. J. Huijgen & ZN, a family-owned company based in Bunschoten-Spakenburg, has expanded its fleet by adding seven new Volvo trucks. This delivery increases the company’s Volvo fleet from six to thirteen vehicles.
The new vehicles include three Volvo FH Aero 500 6x2 container trucks equipped with hooklift systems, a Volvo FM 460 6x2 portal truck, a Volvo FM 500 8x4 TAG-XL with a hooklift, a Volvo FH 500 8x4 TAG-XL with a grab and hooklift, and a Volvo FH Aero 500 6x2 tractor unit. These trucks will support operations in the Netherlands and Belgium, focusing on raw material transport, waste management, and container transport.
Director Karel Huijgen noted that the company has grown from five trucks fourteen years ago to a total fleet of 32. The decision to continue with Volvo was driven by the brand’s reliability, fuel efficiency, and support from Harbers Trucks Barneveld.
