The Transport Secretariat of Catamarca ordered the removal of 15 passenger buses that exceeded the legally permitted age, citing operational safety risks and service quality concerns. The decree, published on August 7, gives the three operators—Cooperativa San Fernando, El Nene S.R.L. and La Rubí S.R.L.—15 days to withdraw the identified vehicles, with further administrative action possible for non‑compliance.

In Morelia, Mexico, the city’s Urban Development and Mobility Secretary, María Elena Huerta Moctezuma, explained that the urban cable‑car system will be temporarily halted during thunderstorms. The protocol, aligned with international safety standards, requires the cabins to be returned to the nearest station and passengers to be evacuated, while lightning‑protection equipment on each tower prevents damage.
