Transport companies adopt SaaS and AI to optimize logistics
The road transport and logistics sectors in Brazil are increasingly adopting Software as a Service (SaaS) and artificial intelligence to optimize operations and create new revenue streams.
Grupo Guanabara, a long-standing transport holding, has restructured its business model to include three independent SaaS companies: Smart Travel, MPlan, and Viva Fidelidade. These platforms provide e-commerce ticket management, fleet and driver operational management, and loyalty programs. The group is also implementing artificial intelligence for dynamic pricing, utilizing models that analyze demand, seasonality, and competitor behavior to adjust tariffs in real time.
In the international logistics sector, Transmaas Logística Internacional is integrating AI to manage the complexities of cross-border operations within the Mercosul corridor. Based in Uruguaiana, the company is applying technology to vehicle scheduling, fleet monitoring, and document workflows to improve predictability and speed up operations between Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay.
