Transportation adjustments scheduled for autumn 2026 in Japan

Various transportation operators in Japan have announced schedule adjustments for the autumn 2026 season to accommodate specific events and seasonal demand.

Toyotetsu Bus Co., Ltd. will implement changes to the Irago Main Line and Irago Branch Line on November 8, 2026, due to traffic regulations for the Atsumi Corporate Ekiden Race. The changes include several departures being moved earlier or later to manage expected traffic congestion.

Eizan Electric Railway will implement a special autumn schedule from November 9 to December 11, 2026, to manage increased passenger volume during the autumn foliage season. The plan includes increased train frequency on weekdays and special holiday schedules for the Eizan Main Line and Kurama Line to improve convenience and alleviate congestion.
