Transurban Brisbane toll revenue grows at double the rate of traffic

Transurban reported that revenue from its Brisbane toll road assets grew by 6.2 per cent to $633 million during the 2025-26 financial year. This increase occurred at more than double the rate of traffic growth, which rose 2.5 per cent to an average of 483,000 daily trips.

Operating earnings for the Brisbane business increased 8.8 per cent to $493 million, outperforming growth rates in Sydney and Melbourne. Traffic growth was particularly notable among heavy vehicles, which saw a 4.9 per cent increase, compared to 1.8 per cent for cars.

On a group-wide level, Transurban reported an after-tax profit of $432 million, a significant rise from $178 million in the 2024-25 period. Total group toll revenue rose 6.7 per cent to nearly $4 billion, with average daily traffic across all markets increasing by 2.2 per cent to 2.6 million trips.
