Trapani authorities confiscate 3 million euros in assets

Authorities in Trapani, Italy, have ordered the confiscation of assets valued at over 3 million euros belonging to a person deemed “socially dangerous” and their family members. The measure was issued by the Criminal Section and Prevention Measures of the Trapani Court following investigations by the Economic-Financial Police Unit.

The investigation revealed a significant disproportion between the declared income of the family and their actual wealth. The individual is suspected of multiple aggravated fraud offenses aimed at obtaining public funds through the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).

The confiscated assets, located across Marsala, Salemi, and Santa Ninfa, include 24 real estate properties such as apartments, land, and buildings. Additionally, the seizure covers commercial businesses, corporate shares, wine fermentation and storage containers, agricultural machinery, vehicles, and pledge policies.
