Trapani Calcio relegation to Serie D confirmed by court

The Lazio Regional Administrative Court (TAR) has rejected precautionary appeals filed by Trapani Calcio, confirming the club's relegation to Serie D. The club had sought to overturn administrative penalties stemming from fiscal and social security compliance failures, requesting either reinstatement to Serie C or the opportunity to participate in playouts.

The court ruled that the club failed to demonstrate 'fumus boni iuris' (the presumption of a legal right) and did not comply with the mandatory deadlines set by Article 85 of the FIGC Internal Organizational Rules. In its decision, the court prioritized the public interest in maintaining the regularity and certainty of sporting competitions over the individual economic interests of the club.
