Trapani hosts PD Festa dell’Unità to discuss regional development and politics

The Democratic Party (PD) Provincial Union of Trapani will host the Festa dell’Unità on October 17 and 18 at the Complesso San Domenico. Under the theme ‘Fragility and community: taking care of people and territories,’ the event aims to address social vulnerabilities and promote equitable, sustainable development in the Trapani province and throughout Sicily.

Discussions will cover a wide range of regional issues, including water emergencies, healthcare, urban planning, waste management, infrastructure, and the preservation of historic centers. The program also includes sessions on educational policies, European cohesion funds, and the new Pact for the Mediterranean.

Politically, the event will feature debates regarding regional alliances and the political landscape leading up to 2027. Participants include institutional representatives, parliamentarians, and regional political leaders such as PD Sicily Regional Secretary Anthony Barbagallo, M5S regional coordinator Nuccio Di Paola, and Italia Viva Sicilia coordinator Davide Faraone.
