Trapholt museum features student-built Wegner house interpretation

Students from Hansenberg and EUC Syd are constructing a full-brick interpretation of a house designed by Hans J. Wegner as part of an upcoming exhibition at the Trapholt museum. The project serves as a scenographic backdrop for the exhibition dedicated to the renowned Danish furniture designer.

The construction is inspired by Wegner’s 1965 house, which was designed in collaboration with architects Allan Jessen and Arne Karlsen. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between Wegner’s design legacy and a new generation of craftsmen, highlighting the connection between practical manual skills and design.
