Trasacco launches “On the Road” initiative to prevent gender-based violence

The “On the Road” territorial coordination initiative has launched in Trasacco, aimed at preventing gender-based violence and promoting equal opportunities. The project originated from a memorandum of understanding signed on June 3 between the Abruzzo Regional Commission for Equal Opportunities and the Trasacco Municipal Commission for Equal Opportunities, with support from ANCI Abruzzo.

During the first public meeting held at the “Pietro Taricone” municipal auditorium, officials presented the program's goals, which include strengthening collaboration between institutions, schools, and local administrations. Key objectives involve implementing awareness projects for students, sharing best practices among local authorities, and encouraging the establishment of municipal commissions for equal opportunities in areas where they do not yet exist.

Regional Councilor Mario Quaglieri emphasized that the initiative seeks to build a capillary network focused on education regarding respect, support for victims of violence, and social and professional inclusion. The program aims to provide municipalities with the necessary tools to reinforce prevention activities through continuous institutional cooperation.
