Travel and relocation guidance for Bali and French moving grants

Travelers planning a first trip to Bali should consider the dry season from April to October for optimal weather, with May, June, and September offering a balance of good weather and lower crowds. Visitors must obtain an electronic visa (e-VOA) or a visa on arrival, and as of October 2025, an online form titled ‘All Indonesia’ must be completed within 72 hours of arrival. Passports must be valid for at least six months.

In France, families with at least three children may be eligible for a moving grant from the Caisse d’allocations familiales (CAF), provided they receive housing assistance (APL or ALF) at their new residence. The grant covers actual expenses up to €1,147.58 for three children, with additional amounts for subsequent children. Private sector employees may also access the Mobili-Pass through Action Logement if a move is necessitated by employment changes and involves a significant distance or commute increase.
