Travel connectivity increases between Europe and Algeria
New transport options are making travel between Europe and Algeria more accessible through competitive pricing from maritime and aviation providers.
Spanish ferry operator Balearia has introduced maritime crossings between Spain and Algeria starting at 200 euros per passenger for a one-way trip. These routes depart from several Spanish coastal cities, including Valencia, Barcelona, and Almeria, providing multiple embarkation points for travelers.
In the aviation sector, Volotea is relaunching direct flights to Algiers with low-cost options. One-way fares are available starting from 39 euros from Bordeaux and 51 euros from Marseille. The Marseille-Algiers route, scheduled for inauguration on March 29, 2026, aims to provide high frequency, with potential schedules reaching up to 14 flights per week during the winter season.
