Travel discounts announced for routes to Algeria

Travelers heading to Algeria are seeing price reductions across both maritime and aerial transport options.

Italian maritime company GNV, a subsidiary of the MSC Group, has launched a promotion offering up to 30% off tickets for voyages between Europe and Algeria. The discount applies to bookings made by August 28 for departures scheduled through December 2026. GNV operates routes from Sète, France, to Algiers and Bejaia, as well as from Civitavecchia, Italy, to Annaba. The reduction applies to the base ticket price and excludes taxes and meal fees.

In the aviation sector, Air Algérie is offering lower fares for flights between Montreal and Algiers as the peak summer season concludes. While September round-trip prices remain relatively high at approximately 1,415 CAD, rates are expected to drop further for autumn travel. For departures between mid-October and mid-November, round-trip tickets are listed starting at 1,040.11 CAD, a significant decrease from the peak summer prices that exceeded 3,000 CAD in July and August.
