Travel insurers WindTre and Emirates launch new coverage products in Italy

Italian telecoms group WindTre introduced a travel insurance policy called Giroxilmondo, marketed under the WindTre Assicurazioni brand and backed by AXA Partners. The plan offers unlimited medical coverage for worldwide trips, including the United States and Canada, with optional add‑ons such as trip cancellation. Prices start at €10.50 and vary with destination, duration and number of travelers, covering up to five insured persons.

Emirates announced its Comprehensive Travel Cover, the first airline‑issued full‑travel insurance. The product provides unlimited medical and emergency evacuation coverage worldwide, reimburses medical expenses up to US$25,000, and includes benefits for flight cancellations, delays, baggage loss and conflict‑related disruptions. The policy also allows travellers to extend a trip for up to 30 days at no extra charge and is supported by Travel Guard.
