Separately, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has reminded passengers that certain food items, specifically peanut butter, are classified as liquids for security purposes. Due to its consistency, peanut butter must adhere to the same restrictions as gels and aerosols in carry-on luggage. Containers must not exceed 3.4 ounces (approximately 100 milliliters) and must fit within a transparent quart-sized bag. Travelers wishing to carry larger quantities are advised to place them in checked baggage to avoid issues at security checkpoints.
