Travel trends in Poland: Rising one-way flight bookings and solo travel focus
Travel trends in Poland are shifting as consumers adopt new strategies to manage rising costs. Data from Kiwi.com indicates an 88 percent year-over-year increase in the sale of one-way flight tickets among Polish travelers. This trend is driven by travelers seeking cheaper combinations by using different airlines for outbound and return journeys, or by flying into one airport and returning from another to save money.
In addition to cost-saving measures, specialized travel agencies like the Olsztyn-based Łączą Nas Podróże are focusing on the psychological barriers to travel. Owner Jan Mikołajczak notes that many travelers, particularly women, face hesitation due to a lack of companions or the difficulty of coordinating schedules with others. The agency aims to provide organized group environments to encourage solo travelers to overcome these social obstacles.
