Travel Wallet Japan issues FAQ guide for South Korea travelers

Travel Wallet Japan has released a comprehensive guide addressing frequently asked questions for travelers using their service in South Korea. The guide covers five key areas: preparation, charging, usage, troubleshooting, and post-trip management.

For preparation, users must be at least 18 years old and provide identity verification via eKYC. Card issuance typically takes five business days. Regarding funds, the service operates as a prepaid model where users charge funds via bank transfers or linked accounts. While charging via bank transfer can be done both in Japan and abroad, direct account linking must be completed before departing Japan.

In terms of usage, the card is accepted at Visa merchants, including many cafes, shops, and hotels in South Korea. It is also compatible with EZL terminals for use on Korean subways and buses. However, users are advised to carry some cash for traditional markets and street stalls. In the event of card loss or suspected fraudulent activity, users should immediately freeze the card via the app and contact support.
