South Korean travel YouTuber Gilbadak has appeared in a live broadcast to debunk rumors regarding her disappearance, kidnapping, and confinement. The speculation arose after she ceased uploading content for over a year following her travels in India.

During the live stream, Gilbadak revealed she is currently in Australia and is safe. She explained that the long hiatus was due to burnout and technical issues, specifically noting that her laptop was damaged by water, which hindered her ability to edit videos.

The rumors intensified after a community post she made three months ago was questioned by subscribers who claimed the writing style did not match her usual tone. The situation escalated when the production team of the SBS program ‘Curious Stories Y’ publicly requested contact with the YouTuber to investigate her whereabouts. Gilbadak addressed these concerns directly, stating, “I am not being held hostage. I am fine on my own,” and dismissed claims that her video appearance was AI-generated.
