Traveler plans credit card portfolio refresh for rewards
A traveler is planning to refresh their credit card portfolio by adding three to four new cards over the next six months. The goal is to optimize travel rewards and point transfers while minimizing the risk of application denials.
The targeted cards include the Chase Sapphire Reserve to maintain 1:1 point transfer ratios to Hyatt, the Chase Freedom Flex for its earning rates and lack of foreign transaction fees, and the Chase United Explorer Card for discounted United Airlines award pricing. Additionally, the Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Infinite card is being considered to assist with earning Oneworld status through Alaska Airlines.
