Travelers Championship delayed by weather as Scottie Scheffler holds slim lead

A dangerous weather system forced officials to suspend play on the final round of the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut, with five holes left. Play was paused at 5:57 p.m. ET on the 14th fairway and the tournament organizers set a restart time of 7:20 p.m. ET.

When play resumes, world number one Scottie Scheffler will lead by one stroke at 21‑under‑par. Collin Morikawa, who posted a nine‑under‑par 61 before the interruption, sits one shot behind at 20‑under. Other contenders include Viktor Hovland and U.S. Open champion Wyndham Clark, both tied at 19‑under‑par. The event carries a $20 million purse with a $4 million winner’s cheque.
