Travelzoo posts Q2 2026 loss as revenue falls 3%

Travelzoo (NASDAQ:TZOO) announced second‑quarter 2026 results showing revenue of $23.2 million, a 3 % decline from the prior year. The company recorded a GAAP operating loss of $2.8 million and a non‑GAAP operating loss of $2.1 million, resulting in earnings per share of $(0.21).

Management said the short‑term loss was driven by increased spending on member acquisition. Marketing expenses rose to $4.6 million, and the average cost to acquire a club member was $62. Membership renewals hit a record high, and the firm aims to shift toward recurring membership revenue. The North America segment contributed $15.7 million, also down 3 % year‑over‑year.

Travelzoo’s Global CEO Holger Bartel and North America financial controller Jeff Hoffman emphasized that the impact of international conflicts on travel demand was temporary and that current investment levels would continue while delivering positive returns.
