Travis Barker promotes animal welfare in new PSA

Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker is starring in a new public service announcement for the Humane World For Animals organization as part of its ‘Small Steps For Good’ campaign. The campaign encourages viewers to adopt shelter pets, avoid real fur, and use cruelty-free products.

Barker, who has been a vegetarian since age 13, discussed his transition to veganism and his history as an animal advocate. He shared that as a child, he would hide meat in his pockets to avoid eating it due to his strict upbringing. He noted that his decision to stop eating meat became permanent once he understood the connection between animals and the food he was consuming.

In addition to his advocacy, Barker promotes a vegan lifestyle through his own brands, Barker Wellness and Barker Canna. He also mentioned upcoming collaborations, such as an all-vegan shoe with Vans, and his investment in the plant-based Crossroads Kitchen in Los Angeles.
