Travis Barker reflects on fatal 2008 plane crash

Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker is reflecting on the 2008 private plane crash that killed four people and left him with severe burns. In his documentary, ‘Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear’, he details the nightmare of the aircraft failing to lift off, veering off the runway in South Carolina, and erupting into flames.

Barker and DJ AM (Adam Goldstein) were the only two survivors of the accident. While Barker eventually recovered with the support of his family, Goldstein struggled with addiction and died of an overdose in New York City in 2009. Barker recently shared details regarding their final communications, including a text from Goldstein expressing a desire to use drugs, which Barker noted he did not initially perceive as a serious cause for concern at the time.
