Travis Head and Alex Carey honored with Adelaide mural

Cricket Australia has unveiled a mural in Adelaide’s central business district to honor South Australian cricketers Travis Head and Alex Carey. The artwork, located at the corner of King William Street and Currie Street, was created by artist Calum Hotham in collaboration with Blank Walls.

The mural depicts Head and Carey raising their bats against a backdrop featuring the Adelaide Oval scoreboard, The Hill, and St Peter’s Cathedral. The unveiling comes 50 days before the Christmas Test match between Australia and New Zealand at the Adelaide Oval.

Cricket Australia CEO Todd Greenberg described the players as “fantastic ambassadors” for both Australian and South Australian cricket. South Australian Cricket Association CEO Charlie Hodgson also noted the significance of the upcoming fixture on the international sporting calendar.
