Travis Knight reacts to Michael Bay returning to Transformers franchise

Director Travis Knight has shared his thoughts regarding Michael Bay’s return to the Transformers franchise. Following a period of soft reboots, including Bumblebee and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, Paramount is working with Bay to reboot the series.

Knight, who directed the 2018 film Bumblebee, expressed support for Bay, stating, “He started that whole thing, and I’m interested to see what he does.” Knight noted that Bay provided him with great advice and support during the production of Bumblebee.

While the franchise has recently explored different directions, including animated features like Transformers One, the upcoming project marks a return to the style established by Bay. Knight has since focused on projects such as Masters of the Universe and the stop-motion film Wildwood.
