Travis Perkins revenue falls amid weak UK construction demand
Travis Perkins reported a 1.6% decline in group revenue for the third quarter ending September 30, 2026. The decline is attributed to weak construction activity and reduced demand within the UK residential building sector.
While like-for-like revenue fell 1.3%, sales volumes dropped by 7.2%. This decline was partially offset by a 5.9% increase driven by pricing and sales mix. Within the Merchanting division, total revenue fell 2.6%, with like-for-like volumes decreasing by 9%.
In contrast, Toolstation UK saw stronger performance, with total revenue increasing 3.7% and like-for-like sales rising 3.6%. However, Toolstation Benelux experienced a 3.8% decline in total revenue. CEO Gavin Slark stated that the company is focusing on cost discipline and operational efficiencies to protect profitability amid challenging market conditions.
