TRE-SC finalizes dispute over Bismark Fugazza's votes

The Regional Electoral Court of Santa Catarina (TRE-SC) has finalized a judicial dispute regarding the candidacy registration of Bismark Fábio Fugazza, a comedian and influencer from the Podemos party. The court issued a final certification after no appeal was filed by the Regional Electoral Prosecutor's Office to the Superior Electoral Court (TSE).

Fugazza's 13,994 votes have been validated, which assisted the Podemos party in meeting the necessary criteria to participate in the distribution of electoral leftovers. As a result, the seat remains with Paulinha, who was elected federal deputy with 92,598 votes.

The decision impacts the MDB party, which had expected to secure an additional seat for Valdir Cobalchini, who received 99,751 votes but failed to be re-elected. While Cobalchini stated he would continue seeking legal means to recover his mandate, the resolution of this case reduces the party's prospects for reclaiming the seat through the current electoral math.
