Treasure Island series trailer released starring David Oyelowo

MGM+ and Paramount+ have released the trailer for a new six-part television adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s ‘Treasure Island’. The series stars David Oyelowo as Long John Silver and Hayley Atwell as Bess Hawkins.

The adaptation focuses on Jim’s transition from a sheltered boy to a pirate and highlights Bess as a central, decisive figure in the narrative.

Directed by Jeremy Lovering, William McGregor, and Paul Walker, the series was created by Robert Murphy. In the United States, the show is set to premiere on MGM+ on October 11, with weekly episodes continuing through November 15. In the United Kingdom and Ireland, it will debut on Paramount+ on October 12, running through November 16.
