A 15-year-old boy was brutally attacked with a machete on a street in Trebišov on a Friday evening. The incident, which reportedly followed family disputes and a verbal conflict, resulted in the teenager sustaining multiple lacerations to his head and arms.

The victim was transported to a hospital in Košice. Medical reports indicate the injuries are severe and will require more than 42 days of treatment. The attack was reportedly interrupted by the arrival of a family member.

Two men, aged 23 and 40, voluntarily surrendered to the police shortly before 2:00 AM on Saturday. Both individuals were reportedly under the influence of alcohol at the time. The Košice Regional Police Directorate has initiated criminal proceedings for attempted murder in complicity and rioting.
