Trebišov woman charged with abusing six-year-old child

A 24-year-old woman from the Trebišov district in Slovakia has been charged with the abuse of a person close to her and the abuse of a vulnerable person. Police reports indicate that since at least November of last year, the woman repeatedly subjected her six-year-old child to physical and verbal attacks.

According to investigators, the suspect used both physical force and an aluminum rod to inflict physical and psychological suffering. The child was also reportedly neglected, denied food as punishment, and forced to beg. The investigation was initiated following reports from neighbors who suspected the child was being mistreated. Evidence supporting these claims includes the child's testimony, medical reports, and other secured documentation.

The suspect faces a potential prison sentence of seven to 15 years if found guilty. Authorities have also filed a motion to place the woman in investigative detention.
