Trekvoss GmbH seeks investor following insolvency filing

Trekvoss GmbH, an outdoor and camping equipment retailer based in Hohenbrunn near Munich, has entered a structured investor search process following a preliminary insolvency order by the Munich District Court. The company, which operates via an online shop and a physical showroom, specializes in roof tents, camping gear, and off-road accessories.

Despite the insolvency proceedings, business operations continue without interruption. The company is fulfilling orders from existing stock and through drop-shipping, and its showroom and warehouse remain open. The preliminary insolvency administrator, attorney Marc-André Kuhne, stated that the goal is to secure a strategic partner to stabilize operations.

The financial difficulties were attributed to several factors, primarily a revenue-based financing structure where repayments were deducted directly by payment providers, leading to liquidity outflows. Other contributing factors included price pressure within the market segment and the termination of a lease agreement in August 2026.
