Tren Solar hosts Latin American tourism journalists in Jujuy
Journalists specializing in tourism from across Latin America participated in a press trip on the Tren Solar de la Quebrada in Jujuy, Argentina. The visit was organized as part of the 18th International Tourism Journalism Congress held in San Salvador de Jujuy.
The journalists, representing Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina, and Brazil, experienced the 180-degree route between Purmamarca and Maimará. The Tren Solar is Argentina's first tourist train powered entirely by solar energy, traversing the Quebrada de Humahuaca, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The congress, themed “When communicating a destination generates real trips,” is organized by the World Tourism Journalism Organization and Ojos del Mundo, with support from the Jujuy Secretariat of Tourism.
