Trend Micro and Hornetsecurity announce new AI-driven cybersecurity features
Trend Micro is integrating NVIDIA AI models into its private Sovereign Cloud Security platform. This integration, featuring NVIDIA Nemotron models, allows security teams to perform threat analysis and automated SIEM tasks within customer-controlled private clouds, sovereign clouds, or on-premises environments. The approach aims to bring the AI model to the data rather than moving sensitive data to the model, ensuring organizations maintain full control over their security information and AI agent activities.
Separately, Hornetsecurity by Proofpoint is introducing new AI security functions specifically for Microsoft 365 environments. These updates focus on addressing risks associated with excessive permissions, unclear sharing practices, and employee awareness. Key features include Tenant Risk Exposure to identify permission risks, Explainability for Email Security to increase transparency in suspicious email assessments, and expanded capabilities for the AI Cyber Assistant, AI.MY.
