TrendAI launches autonomous AI service for vulnerability discovery
TrendAI, a business unit of Trend Micro, has announced the private preview of its TrendAI Vision One Autonomous Vulnerability Discovery service. Driven by the AESIR agentic AI engine, the service is designed to identify, validate, and remediate vulnerabilities—including zero-day threats—within a customer's source code at machine speed.
The system utilizes a multi-model AI architecture, primarily leveraging Anthropic models, and integrates research from the TrendAI Zero Day Initiative (ZDI), one of the world's largest vendor-neutral bug bounty programs. In CyberGym testing frameworks, the engine reportedly outperformed single models and other agentic systems.
Deployed on Amazon Bedrock via Amazon Web Services (AWS), the service allows customers to maintain their existing code repositories and version control systems. The workflow includes customized scanning based on client environments, detailed reporting with CVSS scores, and post-patch verification to ensure vulnerabilities are successfully resolved.
