Trendyol hosts fourth AI/ML Summit to discuss scalable artificial intelligence

Trendyol hosted its fourth AI/ML Summit, themed ‘AI/ML Summit: AI at Scale,’ at Trendyol Campus. The event brought together over 350 professionals, including engineers, data scientists, academics, and product leaders, to discuss the transition of artificial intelligence from demonstration phases to scalable systems serving millions of users.

Trendyol Group CEO Erdem İnan emphasized the importance of ‘AI-native’ processes, stating that the true growth opportunity lies in redesigning workflows from the ground up rather than just accelerating existing ones. He noted that personalized experiences in visual, video, and product discovery will shape the future of e-commerce.

Trendyol Group CTO Cenk Çivici highlighted the necessity of a robust AI architecture that utilizes a common infrastructure layer to direct tasks to the appropriate models without relying on a single one. He reported that the company’s autonomous AI systems have already successfully completed more than 16,000 software tasks, reducing routine technical loads for engineers and allowing them to focus on strategic decision-making.
