Trenes Argentinos receives new parts to maintain AMBA rail lines

Trenes Argentinos has received 338 new wheels intended for the Mitre, Sarmiento, Roca, San Martín, and Belgrano Sur lines within the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA). This shipment is part of a broader plan to improve operational safety and service availability under the national government's declared railway emergency.

The maintenance initiative, supervised by the Secretariat of Transport and the Ministry of Economy, includes the acquisition of 43 new formations, equivalent to 150 coaches, to modernize a fleet that in some cases is over 50 years old. Additionally, the company has already completed the purchase of three diesel-electric locomotives specifically for the San Martín line and continues to receive critical spare parts, such as braking system components, to facilitate heavy maintenance tasks.
