Trenggalek celebrates 832nd anniversary with cultural procession

Thousands of residents participated in the heirloom and cultural procession to mark the 832nd anniversary of Trenggalek Regency in East Java. The annual tradition serves as a means of cultural preservation and a way to strengthen community values of togetherness and mutual cooperation.

Trenggalek Regent Mochamad Nur Arifin, along with regional leadership, joined the procession on foot starting from the Pendapa Manggala Praja Nugraha. During the event, participants distributed 'udik-udik' to the public as a symbol of charity. This year's theme, ‘Hambeging Bumi’, emphasizes imitating the earth's nature as a source of life that provides benefits to others while maintaining harmony with nature.

The celebration also integrated religious elements, including the reading of Mahalul Qiyam, and highlighted food security through the participation of farmer groups who displayed agricultural produce during the parade.
