Trenitalia adds extra night trains for Salerno and Reggio Calabria festivals

Trenitalia will operate 20 additional metro services on the Salerno‑Arechi line from 25 to 30 August 2026 to support the Pitti Pizza & Friends festival. The extra trains add more than 9,300 seats, run in both directions, and extend service until 03:00 a.m. Passengers must hold a regular ticket, which can be purchased in advance via the Trenitalia app or ticket offices.

For the Vinitaly and the City event in Reggio Calabria, eight extraordinary trains will run on 9 and 10 August, linking Reggio Calabria with Lamezia Terme and Roccella Jonica. Four trains serve the Reggio‑Lamezia route and four serve the Reggio‑Roccella route, with early‑morning departures to facilitate night‑time returns of participants. Ticketing follows the same regular‑fare rules and is available digitally and at stations.
