Trenkovi panduri visit Brno to mark death anniversary of Franjo barun Trenk
Members of the historical unit ‘Trenkovi panduri’ visited Brno, Czech Republic, to commemorate the 277th anniversary of the death of Franjo barun Trenk. Trenk, the unit's famous commander, passed away on October 4, 1749, while imprisoned at Špilberk Castle.
During the visit, the group met with Dr. Petr Vachůt, deputy director of the Brno City Museum, to discuss ongoing cooperation and future joint projects. The unit also visited the Capuchin Monastery in Brno, where Trenk’s mummified remains are located in the crypt.
The visit serves as a precursor to significant upcoming milestones in 2027, including the 30th anniversary of the unit’s existence, its 20th year of independent operation, and the 800th anniversary of the City of Požega.
