Trenčín and Zlín connected by new international bus line
A new international bus line has been launched to connect the regional capitals of Trenčín, Slovakia, and Zlín, Czech Republic. The route travels through Luhačovice and Uherský Brod, covering approximately 87 kilometers.
Previously, travelers between these cities faced journeys lasting several hours with multiple transfers, as the route lacked direct rail or commercial bus connections. The new service operates several times daily in both directions, reducing travel time to approximately two hours. The line is funded by the Zlín Region and is part of an integrated transport project between the Zlín and Trenčín regions.
The service is expected to benefit commuters and students, particularly those attending Tomas Bata University in Zlín. Passengers can utilize the Zlín Region's integrated transport tariff, with fares from Trenčín to Zlín priced at 5.70 EUR for standard travel and 2.80 EUR for discounted rates.
