Liverpool rejects potential return of Trent Alexander-Arnold
Liverpool has reportedly decided against pursuing a return for Trent Alexander-Arnold, despite growing speculation regarding his future at Real Madrid. The 28-year-old English right-back, who joined the Spanish club in 2025, has seen a significant reduction in playing time under manager Jose Mourinho.
Reports indicate that Alexander-Arnold has fallen down the pecking order at the Santiago Bernabéu, currently serving as a third-choice option behind Denzel Dumfries and Federico Valverde. While Real Madrid may be open to discussing a sale, transfer journalists suggest that Liverpool has no immediate plans to re-sign the former academy graduate, partly due to the current strength of their defensive lineup.
Although Alexander-Arnold remains under contract with Real Madrid until 2031, his lack of consistent minutes has linked him to several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City. However, current reports from sources close to the situation suggest that a move back to Anfield is not on Liverpool's radar for the upcoming transfer windows.
