Trent Rockets secure spots in both The Hundred 2026 finals

The Trent Rockets have made history in The Hundred 2026 by securing direct qualification for both the men’s and women’s finals. By topping both group tables, the team will bypass the eliminator matches to compete for the championship at Lord’s on Sunday, August 16.

The 2026 season marks a significant structural shift in English domestic cricket. For the first time, IPL-linked ownership groups have taken direct operational control of several franchises following an ECB restructuring. These changes include the rebranding of teams, such as MI London (formerly Oval Invincibles) and Sunrisers Leeds (formerly Northern Superchargers), as well as the introduction of a live player auction system.

Before the finals, the eliminator matches will take place on Friday, August 14, at The Kia Oval. In the women’s competition, Sunrisers Leeds will face Southern Brave, while in the men’s competition, Manchester Super Giants will face Sunrisers Leeds.
