Trentino castles host Ferragosto Egyptian exhibit and rockabilly concert

The provincial castles of Trentino are opening their doors for Ferragosto with a series of cultural programmes. At Castello del Buonconsiglio, the permanent collection is complemented by the temporary exhibition “Nelle terre del Nilo – Tesori egizi”, with guided tours on 15 and 16 August. Nearby castles also feature special events: Castello Caldes presents the contemporary‑art show “Da Warhol a Banksy”, Castello Beseno stages medieval combat demonstrations and a period‑camp, while Castello Stenico offers live falconry displays.

In Castrocaro, the summer series “I giovedì in fortezza” continues on Thursday evening with a free concert by the rockabilly band Dave and the Skittles. The performance on the panoramic terrace includes 1950s‑60s rock ’n’ roll hits and runs until 23:00, with the historic museum remaining open for visitors.
