Trentino expands income support for suspended workers

The provincial government of Trentino has expanded its income integration support for workers who experienced professional suspensions during 2025. Under the proposal by Vice President and Economic Development Assessor Achille Spinelli, the measure aims to provide greater financial stability for families facing economic difficulties.

The enhancement includes two primary changes: the hourly contribution has increased from 1.50 to 1.70 euros gross per hour of suspension, and the minimum annual suspension threshold required to apply has been reduced from 300 to 200 hours. Applications for this provincial indemnity, which complements national support tools, can be submitted between October 13 and November 27, 2026. To qualify, workers must have operated within the province of Trento or be residents of the province.
