Trentino Film Commission showcases two productions at Venice Film Festival
Two films backed by the Trentino Film Commission will appear at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, running from 2 to 12 September 2026. The documentary *Holy Wood Dust* by Russian director Victor Kossakovsky, featuring botanist Stefano Mancuso, was shot in several Trentino locations—including Val di Fiemme, Monte Bondone, Lavarone and Val di Fassa—and received the commission’s Green Film certification for sustainable production practices.
The short film *Il senso della terra*, created by Alessandro Ingaria and Simone Massi and produced by Abisso Studio, will debut in the Orizzonti Corti section. It dramatizes the identification of a migrant’s body in the Mediterranean, blending live‑action and animation, and will be distributed in Italy with the help of Emergency. Additionally, Trentino director Andrea Pallaoro will represent the region in competition with his film *Eco Chamber*, based on a Bernardo Bertolucci screenplay.
