Trentino hosts wine and grappa festivals on Aug 7

On Friday, 7 August, the town of Pieve Tesino in Trentino will hold a cultural evening titled “De Gasperi in 5 calici di vino”. The event, organized at Villa Daziaro, will trace five moments of Alcide De Gasperi’s life through the tasting of five glasses of local wine. It runs from 17:00 for about ninety minutes, costs €5, and is open to adults.

Later that evening, the nearby village of Santa Massenza will host “Note di Grappa”, a celebration of the region’s artisanal grappa. From 19:30 to midnight, five local distilleries will present original grappa‑based cocktails, accompanied by live jazz, soul and folk music, finger‑food stalls and a Slow Food‑curated tasting menu. The festival aims to showcase the heritage and contemporary creativity of Trentino’s spirit‑making tradition.
