Trentino official links female labor participation to economic growth
Achille Spinelli, Vice President of the Autonomous Province of Trento and Assessor for Economic Development, Labor, Family, University, and Research, has highlighted the connection between female labor participation and regional economic growth.
Data from the Province of Trento indicates that while more women are entering the workforce, challenges remain regarding career advancement and wage stability. The report notes that growth is often concentrated in lower-paid roles, and the transition back to work following maternity leave is a critical period for retaining professional expertise and ensuring continuous social security contributions.
To support workforce development, 500,000 euros have been allocated to corporate training. The discussion also addressed the impact of part-time work on long-term earnings and pension benefits, emphasizing the need for stable hours and professional responsibility to ensure women can advance in their careers.
