Trentino showcases waterfalls and quirky town names for summer tourism

Trentino offers a range of summer trekking routes that lead visitors to spectacular waterfalls. Nine itineraries are highlighted, including the 20‑metre drop at the Cavalese waterfall in Val di Fiemme, the Sass Pisador cascade in Val di Sole, the Nardis and Lares falls in the Adamello Brenta Natural Park, and the Rio Bianco waterfalls in the Dolomiti di Brenta. These paths combine forest trails, alpine meadows and historic stone bridges, providing both natural scenery and opportunities for picnics or rest stops.

The region also attracts tourists with its collection of unusual and historic place names across Trentino‑Alto Adige. Names such as Luserna, Tovel, San Lorenzo Dorsino and Andalo reflect the linguistic mix of Italian, German, Ladin and local dialects, and each carries a distinct cultural story that complements the natural attractions.
